TruStage policies are accepted at most Canadian funeral establishments as payment towards a guaranteed funeral. You may also wish to assign a beneficiary to your Plan. This beneficiary will be the person taking care of your final wishes and affairs. They can use the funds in your Plan to pay for your funeral services, last bill payments, honorariums and much more.

If you wish to put aside funds for your Executor or representative's benefit, we suggest you take into account:

Family members who may need financial assistance to travel home to attend your funeral or memorial.

A ball-park amount of any final bills that may need to be paid immediately.

Any lingering medical expenses.

Rent or mortgage payments until your Estate has passed through Probate.

To help alleviate the burden placed on your Executor, select our Final Documents Service, which can be included in your plan total.
We suggest a plan amount of $2,500 to $5,000 to cover any Executor costs, depending on your circumstances.
